Meet our Co-Founders

Hi! I'm Lacey!

I am passionate about the power of sharing stories and spreading joy.

About Lacey

Lacey is a pretty average 30-something lady from the midwest. She has three amazing kids and an awesome husband. Her love of learning and school led her to have 2 masters degrees (that mostly only she cares about) and has worked in education, learning, and development.

In late 2022, Lacey started noticing the concept of the middle popping up everywhere—whether that's the middle of life, stages, problems, or rankings. This inspired her to start writing and launch her first podcast, Sharing the Middle. She also started going through some life-changing health struggles around the same time, which completely changed her life. She started sharing that journey through her writing and podcast.

That courage led her to co-found the Joyful Support Movement with Sara, where they added two more podcasts (No Shame in Our Game and Joy Moments) and run The Joyful Support Village, an online community where people find authentic connection, practical tools, and genuine belonging while navigating their own messy middles. Living with chronic illness taught her a lot about energy management, boundaries, and giving herself permission to be imperfect. Lacey shares her stories in hopes of helping others wherever they are in their own middle.

She is an avid audiobook reader, podcast listener, Bravoaholic, exclamation mark enthusiast, and napper. The napping is often medically required now, so it's not as exciting.

Lacey also dabbles in digital art and silly mugs over at Lacey Shares Friendly Reminders.

Lacey in the JSM

Lacey's role in the Joyful Support Movement is a bit of everything—whatever her manifestor heart desires. She handles all the technical aspects (systems, platforms, troubleshooting), content production and creation, community management for The Village, business operations and analytics, and systems administration. Basically, if it involves tech, content creation, or keeping the engine running, it's probably Lacey.

She produces all three JSM podcasts, hosts Sharing the Middle solo, and co-hosts No Shame in Our Game and Joy Moments with Sara. Together with Sara, she co-leads the vision and strategic direction for JSM.
