In a world that often emphasizes minimalism and decluttering, it’s important to remember that the things we surround ourselves with can add layers of meaning and comfort to our daily lives. So, let’s take a moment to appreciate the little things that make our homes uniquely ours.

Grab a cup of tea, get comfortable, and let’s explore the joy that our cherished objects bring into our lives.

This week we want to know: Whats a Random object that brings you joy in your home?

Sara’s home is an assortment of odds and ends that each holds a story. On her bookshelf is a beaten up metal coin bank that looks like a mushroom with a bright red cap and hand painting on the base. It is easy to overlook it, and would mean very little to anyone other than Sara. But to her, it is a spark of joy every time she sees it.

The definition of clutter is not a one size fits all. Clutter beyond comfort to one is cozy to another. Take a step to identify where your level of clutter comfort is. Look at images, think of houses you have been to, and take inventory of spaces in your home.

  • Which areas make you feel good?
  • Which areas make you feel bogged down?
  • Whatever your comfort level is, embrace it and honor it.

There is no one size fits all! And if you would like a safe place to explore this idea and talk with like minded people, check out the Joyful Support Village.

We hope this newsletter has inspired you to appreciate the meaningful objects in your home and find your own balance between minimalism and clutter. Remember, your space should bring you joy and reflect who you are. Embrace your unique style and create a home that’s truly yours.

Now go out there and spread some joy!
