A little bit of Joyful Support directly in your inbox!
Here at the JSM, we see peace and joy as the foundation for dealing with all that life has to throw your way (that is not always peaceful or joyful). This week we will explore places that provide bumps of peace and joy to help keep you going.
Joy Happenings
The Olympics bring Lacey lots of joy and one of her favorite parts is the athlete’s stories of triumph. Earlier in Sharing The Middle, Lacey talked to Jamie Mittleman who’s organization, Flame Bearers, share the stories of the amazing female athletes of the world.
What is a place that always brings you peace and joy when you visit? We’d love to hear about your special spot! Remember, you can reply here, post in the village, or tag Joyful Support Movement on social media so spread that joy and peace.
Sara has an annual camping trip she takes with friends. It isn’t her favorite activity (don’t you dare call it a vacation), but inside of all the packing and tent building is an opportunity for peace.
In the morning before the commotion of the campground swells, the lake in the center is covered with a mist, the birds glide over the water, and all seems perfect in the world. Those five minutes of pure joy fuel Sara to not only finish out the camping trip, but as a memory to recall anytime, anyplace.
Sometimes the peace and joy is inside a ball of chaos.
Usually we have a silly picture – but this is a genuine peace and joy picture straight from Lacey’s camera roll. Lacey’s peaceful place is also a lake – this particular moment she was feeling one with the world and the ripples reminded her of the Joyful Support Movement’s goal of creating joy ripples.
Sara and Lacey talk about the Good Better Best tool on the Podcast. Good, Better, Best is one of our favorite tools for taking a step – because its built on the foundation of starting from success!
We can think about Good, Better, Best in terms of peace and joy too. You may not be able to go to a lake to enjoy the moment of peace (best), but you could sit outside (better), or take a quiet moment before the chaos of the day (good).
Reminder – TOMORROW Sara is going to be giving a talk about it in the Chronic Success Society. The Chronic Success Society is a community for chronically ill entrepreneurs (no shock that Lacey’s already a member). You can sign up for the free event, and even join using our link and special first month free code – REFERRAL.
Our wish for you is 1% more peace and joy in your day. By sharing your story, spreading joy, or taking a step, choose your own path and feel that ripple.
