Joy Happenings
This past week, Lacey had the absolute pleasure of chatting with her friend Zac on “Sharing The Middle” to explore the people in our lives who bring out the best versions of ourselves. It’s a conversation brimming with joy and moments of wisdom.
Is there someone in your life who brings out the best in you? Tell them—and us! One of the biggest takeaways from the podcast is the importance of sharing with people the joy they bring to our lives.
What meal or dish brings you joy? Is it in the preparation, the sharing, or the aromas? Share your “joy food” by tagging Joyful Support Movement or using the hashtags #joyfulsupport and #Joyfulsupportmovement.
For Lacey, it’s the turkey dressing her grandma made for Thanksgiving each year. Grandma taught her how to make it, and they’ve continued the tradition at Thanksgivings since she passed. While it’s not quite the same without Grandma’s special touch, it’s still delicious—and Lacey’s plate will be piled high with it.
He’s excited to share a meal with you… and I would be more than willing to join him for a meal.
While meals bring joy, they can also involve work and anxiety—from planning and prepping to cleaning up. Just thinking about it can be overwhelming. But don’t worry, Sara has a solution for us.
Sara created 10 Steps to Meal Planning Freedom, and she uses it herself! These easy steps reduce mental strain and alleviate the “meal planning scaries.” Free for friends of the JSM (just sign up!), this straightforward course helps you create a list of meals to suit whatever life throws your way.
As we wrap up this week’s newsletter, we hope you’re inspired to share the joy of food and connection with those around you. Whether it’s trying out Sara’s meal planning tips, reminiscing about a cherished family recipe, or simply appreciating the people who bring out your best self, remember that joy is often found in these simple, shared moments. Don’t forget to share your joyful food experiences with us using #joyfulsupport and #Joyfulsupportmovement. Until next time, keep spreading joy and savoring the delicious moments life serves up!
