A little bit of Joyful Support directly in your inbox!
The winter chill is settling in here, and as we enter the last month of the year, I’ve been thinking a lot about how we can make our lives easier (instead of harder!) in the coming year. Between the cozy sounds of wood stoves and the gentle reminder that the holiday season is upon us, there’s so much to share with you this week.
Joy Happenings
This week on the blog, I (Lacey) get real deep and personal about my relationship with easy, lazy, and how it has affected my whole life. Be prepared to like me a little less, but hopefully come away with realizing how much harder we make our lives in our heads.
It is the kickoff to our upcoming 7 Day Easy Challenge. It’s 7 days where we just focus on actually making our lives easier. Instead of a New Year’s resolution to do more or make life harder, let’s make life easier for ourselves so we can create more space for joy.
When it gets cold outside (upstate NY Sara here) we start using our wood stove to warm up the house. When I open and close the door it makes a very specific sound, somewhere between a squeak and a groan. My son told me that he loves the sound and every time he hears it he thinks of Christmas. That made my heart fill with joy.
What’s the most delightful sound you’ve heard recently?
As usual, tag us on social media, share in the village, or just respond to this email!
Lacey and Sara did a specialty episode, The Martha of it all, to discuss the recent Martha Stewart documentary on this past week’s No Shame In The Home Game. We had a wonderful time exploring how Martha has influenced our own lives, the standards she has set around home management, and so much more. It is a fantastic episode receiving rave reviews.
Our Black Friday sale is open to midnight tonight so grab home management for everyone and get home management for kids free when it launches.
Stay cozy and remember to be kind to yourself as we wrap up this year. We’ll be back next week with more joy, support, and maybe even some holiday magic. Until then, keep finding those moments that make you smile.
