Your Weekly Dose of Joy: Funky Beats, Family Fun & Fresh Toilets

Weekly Joy

A little bit of Joyful Support directly in your inbox!

This week, we are staying on the lighter side.

Sometimes the best way to find joy is to embrace the lighter moments in life—those small, seemingly insignificant instances that make us smile, laugh, or simply shake our heads in amusement. From parenting adventures to disco-inspired dance moves, this week’s newsletter celebrates the simple pleasures that brighten our days and remind us that joy can be found in the most unexpected places.

Let’s jump right in….

Joy Happenings

This weekend, Lacey shared a story of parenting on her social media about her daughter’s determination to go to Target. It was silly, fun, and so emblematic of how even the joys of parenthood can feel like tests and trials.

Sharing your story doesn’t have to be big! It can be small moments that help you make sense of your world.

What’s a song lyric that always puts you in a good mood?

We asked a previous guest of No Shame in the Home Game, Sadie:

“Jamiroquai’s ‘Canned Heat’ brings me so much joy. I always think of Napoleon Dynamite’s talent show dance at the end of the movie—that guy’s got some serious moves. The funky disco vibe dares you to sit still. And the lyrics not only tell you what to do, they instantly get you smiling. ‘Got canned heat up my heels tonight, baby,’ but I always replace ‘heels’ with ‘hips’.”

Sadie Higgins is a writer and public speaker, set to take the TEDx stage this March at Babson College. Access her free guide, “5 Easy Ways Music Can Change Your Life Today.”

Let’s talk toilet cleaning. If you have never been taught, or always had questions, check out the latest cleaning videos on dry cleaning (yes, that is a thing!) and sanitizing toilets.

What are your cleaning questions? Tell us what you want to know more about by responding or submitting a Q&A!

Remember, finding joy doesn’t always require grand gestures or life-changing moments. Sometimes it’s in the simple act of dancing to a favorite song, sharing a laugh over a child’s determination, or even mastering a basic household task. We hope this newsletter has inspired you to embrace those lighter moments and find your own unique ways to spark joy in the everyday. Until next time, keep dancing, keep smiling, and keep sharing your joy with others!

Now go out there and spread some joy!
